I got a quote from Reliable back in June, emailed them back last week to schedule a pick up. Crickets. Spoke with Mike at Reliable (not sure if it is the same Mike mentioned here), he said the best they could do would be 2-4 weeks out with a 4 week window, maybe. A driver would call a day or two before. WTF? Stand by for 8 weeks? Maybe? I need to buy plane tickets, I don't live there. :mad

I just phoned Passport Transport, they will let me know by Friday. He said they are slammed from Pebble Beach.

I've purchased plane tickets... Anyone know of a shipper that can pick up a GT between Sept 1-5 in 35748 (Huntsville, AL) and Deliver to 80026 (Lafayette, CO)?

Otherwise guess I'll Uhaul. Thanks.

Try Intercity:

1-800-221-3936

The industry revolves around the auctions/show. Mere mortals take a back seat on the way in and out.

I've used both Intercity and Reliable. Intercity will be my first choice if available. But when I was moving the GT from CO to Vegas I got into the same thing - trying to find a carrier that can match your schedule can be challenging.

It's a beautiful trip - just get in the GT and drive! You'll love it.

:cheers

Thanks for the tip, I called. They don't ship from that far south.

Passport has treated me great with great response time. www.passporttransport.com/

Thanks. I have a call into Passport, they said they would let me know by Friday if they could accommodate.

Call Shelby and ask him to put it on Central Dispatch. If you don't have time to wait for a big carrier to make schedules match, there are plenty of 1-2 car exotic car haulers around to do it. Usually it's around $1 per mile depending on how painful the trip is.

Plycar is doing a move for me with a set delivery date.

I'll give Shelby a ring tomorrow. Thanks Dave.

Thanks!

Google says it's 1282 miles. You could do that in a day and half, easy. Spend some quality time with her.

Agreed. You can also set your own price and give specific requirements for the type of transporter.

Spoke with Shelby yesterday morning. Fingers crossed.:thumbsup

Shelby came through. Car was picked up and delivered as promised by Armstrong Hotshot Service who used the Central Dispatch service. My baby is home!

Thanks Shelby! :cheers

Congratulations - it's nice when they get home :thumbsup

Good news!

Glad to hear your family's all together again Steve! Stop on by soon - I'm anxious to see it.

Congrats Steve. You and Jim interested in driving up to Vail Saturday morning to the Colorado Grand? Leaving with a few special cars at 7am.

From where? What is Colorado Grand? I gotta watch the weather, I'm basically on slicks for the rears.
