The interesting people you meet when you drive a GT

I tried to help your thread out and you called me a liar.

I forgot about the love bugs. Yuck.

Where is Andy with his 12c? He owes me a ride.

I may have called you a lawyer. Oh wait, what's the difference?

I was going to go all snarky smart ass when the thread started spinning out of control and off target but then "thought better".

I'm probably going to do C&C Saturday with the GT350 with the vintage race motif. For what ever it's worth, love bugs are out. Came back from Brooksville in the MOHO on Monday back towards Tampa and they are out there. Must have just had a hatch.

What the He## was this thread about anyway?

Beats me, but it's about Cars and Coffee now. Let's plan on having breakfast afterwards. Geoff is bringing the E55 Amg wagon he just bought. He might have his minor "modifications" complete by then.

Let's look for one another. I'll try to be there, too.

That's because you're still frozen. It's a love fest down here. Complete with love bugs. :)

Coincidently, the Terminix guy just rolled in for the quarterly treatment. His truck is covered with love bugs. For those of you who have no idea what we're talking about, it doesn't take long for the front of your vehicle to look like this:

Breakfast after C&C sounds good. Anyone interested in raiding Dimmitt to see the P1?

Yep. And they are one of nature's most effective paint removers.

C&C is celebrating the Mustang's 50th with a call for best Mustangs. Should be fun.

Not that uncommon!

Oh, you have been to the Florida State Fair?
These people are all over the place.

I am in Bank of America HELL!!! They have dicked me around for 3 wks. Now I sent a bunch of notarized papers FedEx to their outsourced title company and they say I forgot to date the odometer statement and my wife's signature (why they needed that I have no idea) had a smudge!? so it has to be redone. I'll be lucky if I see by next weekend. ARGHHH!

My offer to drive it back from Jax stands.

Do you know what is 300 feet long and has 1 tooth?

The funnel cake line at the Florida State Fair.

That's Bad.

Edit: Why do my threads get so effed up? I go yin, everybody goes yang. I even get "delete." wtf is up with that? :/ :lol

Edit: Lovebugs are out. :( :( :(

What is a love bug?

They hatch a couple times a year in FL. Usually late April, early May is the worst. They fly around in pairs mating apparently, hence the cute name. They get really thick at times, so if your driving a vehicle, they get plastered all over the front of it. The worst part is that there is something acidic in their composition so after they get mashed onto your vehicle it will remove the clear coat. They really need to be cleaned off the same day to avoid the risk of ruined paint. If you wash them off the same day, it is pretty easy, and water works best. Leave them on to bake in the sun for a day or two and it can be a real bee-yatch to get them off...plus the paint damage. Lots of vehicles running around FL with paint damage from the little buggers.
