Car Guys Who Lunch

Is it me, or does the Ultima have 5 screws supporting one exhaust bezel and 4 on the other?
Asymmetry bugs me!

...and those 5 screws aren't evenly spaced or 'centered' properly either! That would last about 0.5 nanoseconds with me too!

Gunsmith school killed me forever.
Screws should be "regulated" or "referenced".
Oh well!

This is either the epitome or the quintessence of "anal." I have to admit, now that I've seen it, I could not own the car like that. However, the owner is a brilliant engineer, so I look forward to his explanation. I expect it will be something like "Yes, that's the way I got it."

I don't like dangling exhaust pipes and shiny bits below the body line either. And, what appears to be a vent pipe hanging behind the front wheel. STUNNING car. HUGE price. Yet I see things that I interpret as flaws I couldn't live with.

Not sure it's the same thing.
It may belong there, esp if there is one on the other side.
Either way, it probably has a purpose.
That can't be said for mismatched screws.
Just saying.......
Best,
Mark

Love the cigar smokin F-car owner! Classic.

Your photos are great Xcentric!

Yes, good point. Even things that belong bug me. Like GT bumpers and McIntosh speakers. :)

The owner winced a bit when I asked him, and admitted this was done by the previous owner. On his list of things to set straight. :)

That would be good!
That car deserves better.
