What has been done?

Lojack works.

The car is not going to be started without the encoded key. Preventing startup is not the problem. Its detecting and recovering its removal by means other than driving.

I installed a battery disconnect switch to the ground cable, the switch has a removable key allowing the switch to disable the car.

Is the purpose of this to prevent joyriding or from someone to steal the car and chop it up? Because if someone wants to steal the car, they can yank it onto a flatbed whether it runs or not. As far as LoJack, honestly, I'm not sure if I'd want the car recovered if it was stolen. I'll take the insurance payout and buy another one.

On most my cars I've got tracking and tracing. If it moves 200 meters I'm immediately notified and can monitor where it's situated.
Gives me a more comfortable feeling and recoverred the cost as discount on the insurane premium.

That's because he never remembered to take the security fob with him as well as the keys. He could have got them to disable the fob, but that doesn't make as good a story......

After all these years, it is amazing how many people believe the Ford GT:
1. Has a truck engine.
2. Gets 4 mpg.
3. Has an alarm that goes off at all hours of day and night.

Only people with red Italian sports cars and shoes to match.

Yup, that's the power of TopGear! I'm glad he sold it though. Especially as it was to me :)

I always found his turnaround amazing! He was overwhelmed by the car at the beginning - then did a 180° about-face. He couldn't get enough of it at the beginning (perhaps he was being sponsored?) and then the turnaround (sponsorship from F or other cars?)

Anyway, I find that type of attitude to have little honesty and integrity. Just MHO. I certainly lost all respect for him.

I'm glad you got the car too! :thumbsup

"This car is ASS-TON-ISH-ING!!!" But I think I'll give it back and get a Gallardo. Pompous ass.

Freiburger and Finnegan are my kind of car guys. Let's drop this hemi we've had laying around...oh yeah and this 6/71 blower...and where's that NOS bottle?....into this '66 Dart and see what happens.
