You've reposted on yourself.......thats a new one

Bought my 944 Turbo Cup factory race car new in 1987- over 24 years ago. The car was one of nine brought in by Porsche Motorsport (Holbert at the time) for SCCA racing.

Car was never raced, I used to do PCA and BMWCCA track events, and a few years with Brian Redman's Targa 66 group. I still drive the car on the street occasionally- it has 19,000 miles now.

Car never had a single decal applied until earlier this year- I just thought it should look like a factory racer, since that's what it is.

You should bring it to Rennsport at Laguna Seca this coming weekend - I'll be there crewing for my friend, Eddie. Is anyone else coming to the races?

if the thread was shortest time one owned a car I could win.
Sortest time 6 months a 68 corvette convertible
Longest 2,5 years H2. such a comfortable ride

I'm in Ohio, and should have taken it to one of the previous Rennsports on this side of the world!

My cousin owned a 944 and he loved it - gave it up when he got married and regrets it to this day. It was an advanced car at its time and still looks good to this day IMO.

One thing we agree on!

Only one?

I owned a 914-6 in college. That was a fun car.

My best friend was working for Oakley from the very beginning, employee #0001. After the company became profitable the owner (Jim) went to Germany and purchased for himself a 935 slant nose and a red 924 Carrera GTs, one of 44 made for my friend as a Christmas/thank you present. That car was beautiful and at the time very bad a$$! We were in our early 20's at the time and boy was that car a chick magnet! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oMDi4ZI57Z0

I owned 2 E types for over 10 years each. 62 Coupe and a 69 roadster. Sold the coupe thru this Forum 3 years ago (with Bony's blessings).
