The Black/Silver car was delivered today and I'm thrilled and relieved the car is finally in my possession.

I live in a rural part of the area and still, the attraction was more than I ever expected. First question/comment from a gal walking her dogs asked me: "Is that a Mustang?" Nope.. A Ford GT. Then she said: "Well, it looks fast and its sexy." Blushing I reply: "Yes, you are right." Then some guys appeared out of nowhere. "What is that?" A Ford GT. "Oh yeah, I saw that one on a video game. Looks better in person. Is that the engine?" Yep, 550 HP. "Oh man that is so cool. Can we take pictures?" Go for it! I could go on but, you guys have pretty much heard it all before.

Very Cool...Congrats....

It kinda looks like a Miller racer from Indy back in the early 20s. Front wheel drive and bullet shaped rear ends.

Except note the conspicuous dual tires - that should narrow it down.

Im quite certain that car was returning from Amelia Island where I saw it. Pretty cool with the duallie rears!

Wait 'til somebody asks you if your GT is a "kit car". :bang

(Oh, yeah! They ARE out there... and I hadta run into one of them! :bored)

In what part of Wash. St. are you located?

Thought you guys would be interested in the car above the GT. My exact words when the door came down: "What is that?" Answer: 1947 Allard and was Sydney Allard's personal British Hill Climb Championship-winning Special. The remainder of the cars on the transporter are returning from the Amelia Island Concours to their owner, another western Washington collector. Vintage Ferrari, Bugatti, Fiat, Allard filled the remaining spots in the trailer. Some very rare and significant cars.

Here is a link for pictures at Amelia as well as Barrett-Jackson and you can drill this site for some history on the Allard.

My location is on the Olympic Peninsula very near the Strait of Juan deFuca and in the rain shadow of the Olympic Mountains. Last year, our total rain fall for this area was about 10 inches. This year, thus far we have had just a little over 5 inches. Will more than likely beat last year’s total by a long shot. Might get 15 inches or so..... Commercial pilots know this area as the “Blue Hole.”

Congrats. The wait was worth it!

We need to have a GT get together....

Enjoy it in good health and on dry roads.

Aaaaaaaah, yes...the only place in the state that gets more rain than we do here on the northern end of the I-5 corridor!

Would love to do a get together with the other WWA GT owners.
