Remember to thank all those who served and remember all fallen soldiers that paid the ultimate price.

Amen to that. :agree: :usa:usa:usa:usa:usa

Good post HHGT. And to all the Veterans on this forum ,any Veterans that might read this, and my Veteran Grandpa in heaven - I thank you for your service and sacrifice!!!

Sent my Vets for a paid long lunch.
It is a small thing when compared to what they have done for us

Happy Veteran's Day!

To all the veterans, and families of veterans, thank you for your service.

I know Bony would be toasting a Maker's Mark today, perhaps more than once.

:thumbsup

On behalf of the all the veterans on this site and world wide thank you for your thoughts comments and deeds. All of us appreciate it.

Two additional thoughts:

The WWII guys among us are dying off at an ever quickening rate. May I suggest that whenever you see one of these folks wearing a WWII veteran hat, you walk up to that person and say "Thank you for your service". You will definitely make that Veteran's day.

In course of hiring workers, please consider veterans and retired service members. If you choose the right one, you will not have a more loyal or hard working employee.

That's S.O.P. whether the cap/hat says WWII, Korea, 'Nam - or you name the conflict. :wink

I know alot of you guys are aware our youngest son just got back from his U.S. Army deployment in Iraq at the end of September, and it sure was special to shake his hand (he's home on leave for two weeks) and wish him a well deserved Veteran's Day thank you....he looked at me and said "Dad, I'm not a Veteran, I'm still serving and don't deserve it yet". I told him I disagree, and rephrased it..."Happy Combat Veterans Day". He just shrugged and said thanks. And you know, that's the same attitude I always get from Vets of all ages...a simple "thank you, and please, don't make a big deal out of it".
Well, IMO as long as our country continues to put out young men and women with that humble and servant-like attitude, like we have the past 230+ years, we will be OK. :usa
