How hard is it to steal a GT?

There have been a couple of bikes stolen in my complex recently and a friend's Viper had his roof slashed and stereo stolen.

I guess its time to grow up and buy a house with my own garage. :ack

:slap :slap :slap :slap :slap

:eek:eek:eek:eek:eek IT WAS TIME TO BUY A HOUSE THE SECOND YOU DECIDED TO BUY THE GT!!!:eek:eek:eek

I tried it for a year but I didn't like living 20 minutes away from downtown. :(

Going to look at this climate controlled storage place 3 miles down the street. That way I can switch back and forth between the beater and the GT with relative ease.

Don't let these guys get down on you.
You have a fine sense of priorities!:lol:lol:lol:lol

E.P., haven't you ever seen the t-shirt that reads "I can sleep in my car if I have to, but you can't drive your house!" Kumar, I second Project321's comment above.

Kumar,

Buy a house. I held off for 15 years, and the GT was my first new car.

A whole new level of enjoyment comes with a driveway, cozy garage, and trophy room/auto library/wet bar.

I would not recommend the high end climate controlled garage. Even the best places will incur some "wear" or worse incidental unexplained damage. And many have odd hours (no holidays), close by 6pm and pack them in like sardines.

Buy a place, even if you have to rent it out to family, and use the garage.

I agree. The best thing I did was build the garagemahal and then added a house to it.

garagmahal huh? that I gotta see, hope your coming to cars and coffee in the morning:cheers

Kumar dont feel bad about not having a house, I still live in a condo, however I cant believe youre parking the gt outside at night, is that what youre doing?, what are you crazy? I have eight cars and live in a small condo, however I did buy my parents a house and they got a three car garage, they didnt want a three car garage but they had no choice in the matter, so you can imagine where some of my rides are, then there is my sisters place has two spots, you get the idea, and then there is my little garage, sometimes it may be a little tight but I would never park any of my cars outside, unless its a bmw ofcourse(Hi Sam:biggrin)

I have a house but its a good 30 minutes from downtown Dallas. So I just got an apartment downtown about six months ago and probably spend 75% of my time there. I used to just leave the GT at the house but I've been driving it every day since I got the turbo kit done and the weather has been nice. The complex has a gated parking garage and security walking around at night but still made me nervous when I heard the bikes were stolen.

If my gt was outside, I wouldnt be able to sleep!

Its not outside.

well thats better, but still a parking lot where it is accessible to others still scares me, I just chicken:lol

Yeah I used to think about it but it just got old driving 30 minutes to go pick it up so I could take it somewhere. As long as no one keys it or anything like that, I think I'm gonna keep parking it here. Shit, maybe I'll paint it solid black if it gets keyed.

I also used to do the storage thing as well, and I can tell that gets real old quickly,

There is a storage place 3 miles from here. I figure thats better than 30 miles. I dunno...we'll see.

oh I agree, I wouldnt drive 30 miles either, as a matter of fact my parents house is that far, so i have not seen my cars for a good 6 months now.
