2017 Ford GT Media Launch Updates

The media launch for the 2017 Ford GT has begun!

Ford chose the Utah Motorsports Campus as home bas for the launch and over the next 2 weeks a litany of automotive, lifestyle and other media outlets will get their chance to drive, ride and test the new GT.  Luckily for us, even though drive reviews are under embargo until May 12th, in the social media era, lots of updates are rolling in.  Here’s a selection below:

The $450,000 Ford GT is, essentially, a street legal racecar. We can’t give you the full review yet (it’s under wraps until May 12) but here are some of it’s more notable features: It’s got a 647 HP turbo V6 engine. Air for the turbochargers goes up through those side buttresses while transmission cooling air exits through the taillights. If you are worried about weight, lightweight carbon fiber wheels are an option.
