Ok its been mentioned on the main thread and this is not meant to keep anyone that wants to from going to Scottsdale. Chip and I have PM'd back and forth so this is an option for east coast and central guys and anyone else that wants to participate.

Prior to leaving anyone that wants to drop their trailers in Dallas are welcome to come by my place. I have room to park probably 12 trucks and trailers on my lot. We can find somewhere for big rigs, if needed, I will just need to know in advance so I can coordinate it.

Tuesday we will setup a lunch and tour of a car collection here with lots of original and one off pieces. In the evening we will have a dinner at a nice steak place and just have a good time hanging out with friends.

We will leave Wednesday morning from Dallas for Austin, bout 3 hrs drive.

Parking for cars will either be at the hotel and secured or if we don't have alot of people I can park about 15 at my house, inside.

I know 3 cars already that are going to make the trip down on Wednesday morning late and it looks like Indy is going to join us. Anyone else that wants to participate please let me know.

I guess if we don't have anyone join us the Dallas group will drink all the alcohol :)

Chip or Dave please make this a sticky.

Thanks,

Matt

So, if I understand this correctly, we fly into Dallas on Monday, Tuesday we meet for lunch, do a tour, eat dinner and Wednesday leave for Austin. I just want to make this perfectly clear for all involved that will be shipping cars together.

This brings up the same problem as last year. How do we get luggage from Dallas to Austin? Will someone be driving a sag wagon that can haul luggage? Will cars return on trailers from Austin or Dallas? Just need to think out loud so we can line everyone up. Frank

You think too much :)

We will find a way...Cars can be dropped earlier if need to help with flights and logistics..I can store them in the garage.. If you have your car shipped then its up to your group if you want them to drop in Dallas and pick up in Austin...for those leaving their trailers they will come back to Dallas and load up.

We can do an informal dinner Monday as well if requested I just need to get ideas on interest and we can square up what you want to do Frank.

I haven't addressed the bags issue but its a good question..Let me look into it and see what solution I can come up with but I am sure we can figure something out.

As for your timing yes currently its get in Monday and lunch Tuesday, tour and dinner leave for Austin Wednesday after rush hour is over. Your coming aren't you Frank?????

We'll be headed down from KC through Dallas to Austin.
Plan on taking the truck and trailer on in to Austin.
My F350 has a locking hard tonneau cover and could hold a lot of luggage.
Still finilizing our departure date so if the time lines match up I'd be willing to haul the luggage if needed.

OK Jeff, good going. This is still subject to change. Jeff, most people only have one bag per person, but some of us will have helmets, etc.

Great Matt and Jeff!

This is always a concern (of my wife) where to put all the bag(s). And I know the old don't bring any clothes DOES NOT WORK. So no need to suggest....

Thanks Matt for taking the ball and organizing!

I would like to fly in to Dallas on Monday and get together for a dinner with local/traveling owners.

Chip has scouted a good hotel with underground parking for our cars on his Scottsdale pre-rally event. Would be nice if there was something similar in and around the Dallas area whereever you think is most convenient for our functions....

Shit Nardo. Now you scared them all off.

I'm glad you didn't tell them about the express lane on death row.

Yes, for the most part. If you see a sign in Spanish we aren't proud of it either. I speak & read English and I think every citizen in our country should as well. (keyword unfortunately is "citizen")

When we succeed with our secession (I like those words), we certainly want to be Texas, not Texico.

If you see an old F-150 or Crown Vic coming at you...I suggest getting the heck out of the way unless you have really good uninsured motorist coverage.

One more thing....don't even think about asking what a chicken fried steak is. It will give you foreigners away every time. No yeewies either..the term is U-turn.
