    GT Service in Westchester NY+other??

-- Does anyone know of good service for our car available in Westchester NY or nearby? (I used to use Pleasantville Ford but I am told their master technician is gone). -- I've got a Nov 2005 with 4k miles. I've had the bolts swapped but no other servicing other than oil changes. Car has...

    What happens when warranty expires?

After a year on the road my only problem has been a front turn signal that works only intermittently. So far, excellent reliability. But wait. Dealer service reports that the signal bulb is part of the sealed headlight assembly – the whole thing has to be replaced. “It’s a $1,200 part – good...

Steering Wheel Hub for the Car that has Everything (else)

I've watched with admiration as entrepreneurial types have developed the aftermarket for the Ford GT but nobody yet to my knowledge has come up with the item that would please me most -- a replacement or overlay steering wheel hub resembling the original(see attached gt40 interior photo). What...

    $400 oil change

Had my first oil change at 950 miles. Serviced at the dealership that sold me the car. Filter $34, 10 quarts oil $86, 3 hours labor (!) $280 =$400. Is that typical or did they charge me for not knowing how to do it?

    Steering Wheel hub

No, not a tech problem -- just a thought about style. One thing that caught my eye in the Sports and Classic Cars GT 40 magazine article is that the kit cars they showed had interiors that very much resembled the original '60s cars. For the most part they were crude in a way we wouldn't expect...

    First Oil Change?

I've got about 700 miles on in two months of driving. Do you think it's time to change the oil? Also, what would you tell/warn the dealer about the first time you bring the car in. (Mine is the dealer's first and only GT, I'm pretty sure). Thanks in advance for the advice.

    Windshield Washer Problem

At about 450 miles, I discovered my first problem. Windshield washer doesn't work. I made sure it was filled with fluid. I hear the pump when I push the button but no fluid squirts out. Has anyone else had this one? Any advice much appreciated.

    Origin of White/Bluestripe colors?

Does anyone know which GT 40 teams raced under the white/blue stripe colors? I think that Ford France fielded GT 40s in Europe in the 60's wearing white/blue but also with a thin red stripe too -- French flag colors. There must be a better reason for these being offered on the modern GT. Thanks.
