    Two Post Lift

Love that shot. Back before Nigle became a whiner. Another shot of the GT on a two post. Note the 2X12's on the floor to get the needed clearence.

    Two Post Lift

I use a two post Rotory lift. It works great. It works best if I back it in. I use hockey pucks on the lift points in the back. This gives clearence to get the belly pans off. The front arms do not reach the factory front lift points, so you place them right at the edge of the wheel well. This...

Failed oil pump pulley...the sad saga of

I checked mine last fall when I did my winter oil change prior to storage. My car has about 4K miles on it. The pully and belt looked fine. No movment on the shaft and no dust or grime indicating spline chafing.

    ethanol free gas?

I had a '67 Ferrari and used E10 in it with no fuel system problems. Also, the compression ratio on vintage Ferraris is quite low (in stock form) so you don't need high octane gas. I did run 100LL Av-Gas from time to time so as to get some lead for the valves. However I found this made the...

Failed oil pump pulley...the sad saga of

ByeEnzo, Thanks for the detailed post. Glad you dodged the bullet. After three years of ownership and three oil changes, I must admit I have never pulled the cover to look at the oil pump or the belt. Rest assured, this will become a standard proceedure for me from here on out.

    Ford Racing Exhaust

Agreed. From what I have seen it looks like the best package with the exception of deleting the cats. The older I get the less likely I will want to take the cats on and off to pass my emmissions test. Just got my first test notice from the state :ack

    Oil spray around engine compartment

Check the supercharger drive pully. It could be flinging oil that is leaking out of the supercharger.

    Shadowman "Finally Ready for Primetime"

Very nice Bill:thumbsup I am glad I held off on getting the Stainlessworks system. Do you need to remap (tune) the ECU? And of course, how much will this take out of the kid's college fund?:banana

    Ford dealer service?

Congrats on the FGT! Pls. be careful on cold tires until you have a few hundred miles of experience. I've had what I thought was a lot of experience driving cars sideways, but my GT quickly tought me to respect her power within the first few drives. Lucky, no damage other than soild shorts.:eek

    That's alot of buffing

That brings back memories of my youth when my friends and I used to do the polishing of my Dad's P-51. I was very happy when he had it painted silver! I can't imagine the scale of work doing a B-17, but it sure looks nice. I'm surprised it only took 50 Lbs. Or did you mean 50 Gals?

I'd be interested as well. The lunch time touring has a 70 mph speed limit and is usually very crowded.
