Would you buy a Lemon?

"A repaired car is NEVER worth what a non-repaired car is. Period...Nardo GT"

I'm not sure you could convince the mid-year Corvette guys of that...

Still applies. Throw enough money at anything and you can "repair/restore" it. But they are only original once. A documented 67 big block in pristine orig condition is certainly more valuable than a "restored" car. At least to me it is.

Original versus restored...

Nardo...In principle I agree with you, however a friend of mine who is an NCRS judge says no such animal exists anymore. He also says there are more than twice as many "original" big block cars in existence today as were built by the factory. In fact, one of my neighbors here in Minnesota rebuilt an L88 car from just having the frame, and it sold for big dollars even with folks knowing the history. So I guess you can never say never? My ex-Penske Lola T70 MKIIIB was sold for over $200K a year or so ago while taken apart, and was shipped in parts to the new owner who put another $150K in the car. I paid $4,300 for the car when I bought it back in the 70's.

If the only thing wrong with the blue car was indeed the axle bolt issue, I'd buy it for the right price...title stamp or not.
