Hello, Could anyone tell me who has the most reasonable insurance rates for my 05 gt. My policy is up and I am shopping for lower rates!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks, George

The best? Who knows.

Safeco ... $377 for 6mo ... but, it's NOT "agreed value" - full coverage, yada yada - but not agreed value. For THAT, it'll cost more. (Though with the GT prices remaining stable - or going up - that pbly shouldn't be an issue anyway.)

Get a quote from Geico.

State Farm is like $650.

Hagerty, Grundy were like half but you need a modern car as your daily, or they wont do it.

Ya, and they told me the other car(s) have to be the same year or NEWER than the GT.

(The rates you're quoting from them are waaaaaay less than what they quoted me when I checked with 'em. 'Odd...)

Allstate agreed value $2500/yr.

I pay $900/year with State Farm. Not agreed value.

ditto. plus windshield replacement. How I ever got that past them I will never know. agreed at 215k.

They said since it is a special car a special tech service would be paid for. Can I hear the GT Guys in the garage? :biggrin

Grundy quoted me $1800 a year with a stated value of $175K.

I used State Farm which was around 1200 a year.

Changed from Grundy to State Farm on agreed value. Much Less. $165,000 agreed value $500 Ded. $626 for 6mo. policy. In Texas They will only write 6mo policy.TGH

State Farm on agreed $1067 for 6mo. CA. car.
Same limits in MN = $637 for 6mo.

$3000 for 12 month agreed value policy with Hagerty (but my driving record isn't as pristine as many of yours may be)

I have cars with Grundy and Hagerty and my personal cars with State Farm. The FGT is with State Farm. About $1200p.a. It is not agreed upon, but I was willing to forgo that.

I was under the impression that State Farm would not write agreed upon paper.

Obviously rates are all over the board based on driving history, location etc. Considering how many FGT loses there have been insurance is still a bargain.

whomever you choose as a carrier, bottom line is go with agreed value :thumbsup

Geico calif , about $1400 yearly.

USAA charges ~$1500 per year for coverage in Arizona.

Grundy agreed policy $165K, Metro Detroit, MI area at ~$2400/yr. Zero deductable.

Get an Appraisal

I would like to suggest to you guys that is a very good idea to get a professional appraisal (typically $100-$200) on your particular car, and to send a copy of it, along with several good pictures, to your insurance company. The pictures should include front 3/4, rear 3/4, interior and engine compartment.

It is much simpler to establish the condition and value of the car before a loss than after it is stolen or totalled. Update the appraisal (many appraisers will do an "update" for free or a reduced fee) and pictures every couple of years.

regards,

Jeff

USAA - just renewed = $636.41 per 6 months.

Got to love USAA ... did they do agreed value for you? They only wanted to do 160k and with the flux in the heritage market that scared the cr@p out of me.

I think any agreed value policy north of 200k is a bargain for anything less than 2500 a year.

Its just very hard to find a heritage to replace the one we have. Maybe my rate might drop when I move out of fender-bender central here. The per captia accident rate here is higher than DFW .... shocked me when my agent told me that. So now I understand why they flinched when I insured it .... since everytime I take either car out if feels like I am on a youtube video shoot.
