We were invited to bring our car to the Kandy Shop Show & Tell custom car show and charity event for the Patrick Peterson Foundation for Success. Kandy Shop is a custom paint shop for show cars.

Most children try to come home for Easter if they live close enough. Our new Girl came home last night for Easter after making a visit to a Shine and Show event for kids! I dad to take her picture as she doesn’t come home very often. Happy Easter to all my Ford GT Forum Friends. P.S. Sue and I gave out 30 models last night as my 10 cases arrived yesterday.

Headed to the delivering Dealership in Houston for her first oil & filter change and an update reprogrammed. She has 1276 miles on her and I’m ready to stretch her legs a little upon her return. The Dealership’s new trailer is a Gorgeous rig with all the latest electronic advancements. The trailer is specifically made for the New GT and is easy to load and transport. Can’t wait to get her home. This GT has to be the most carefully broken in GT with 1276 miles than any other!

Supercar Saturday
Gentlemen,
Today’s theme at Cars & Coffee Scottsdale was Supercars. John & Michelle made the scene in their beautiful 2018 Orange GT and we all had a great time. The turn out today was massive and as usual the little ones flocked to the GT’s. They all went away with a Speed Yellow GT of their very own. The 2017 yellow/black stripe Hot Wheels GT is no longer being produced but I have about 400 left in my stash. It will be a sad day when I run out!

Most of the auto gatherings I attend are informal and don’t involve judging. And like Tomy I seldom register my GT for a trophy even when I display it at a show that gives them out. But last Saturday after driving to the Annual Fountain Hills Collector Car Show to benefit the Make A Wish Foundation I was told I couldn’t display my GT unless I registered it. There were 200 cars on display and a lot of high quality interesting vehicles. Still I felt like I showed up to a knife fight with an M-16. My yellow ‘17 GT was judged best of class in the post 1980 category and they gave me a nice plaque. The real trophy was the experience of meeting other auto enthusiasts and handing out little yellow GT’s to the kids followed by a spirited run to Rio Verde & back after the show. Cheers.

Chip I do the same thing when attending car shows. I tell them I do not want a trophy, but they make me register for one anyway. I've even told them I'll pay the attendance fee, but give the trophy to someone else and they give me a trophy anyway. Oh, well, feels good to hear your name called to receive a trophy anyway.
