What Are You Paying for Oil Changes at the Ford Dealer?

This was my first one...paid $434, does that seem right? Did it in Katy Texas....

My first one was $125. The last one they wanted 525. That was when I brought it in for the air bags in mid 2019. The dealer said since they have to use a service bay instead of the quick lube the price was "adjusted". So I did it myself. My honest assessment of the service manager was they didn't really want to do it.
 
Filter and 10 quarts quarts of oil & labour Ive seen my invoices go from $150 to $240.
Typically labour is around $100 so really most of mine are early/mid $200's
Doing it yourself its $170 in parts (bought from dealer earlier this year)
Prices for the parts can vary a bit from dealer.

Is your receipt just for the parts and labour ?
 
The oil and filter can be bought for $100-150, so I guess the rest is labor. I do my own, and did the 05 about a week ago.

Yes, $141 in parts and $281 in labor.
 
Best just to do it your self.
Takes out a lot of the anxiety.

I got the oil and filter from Rock Auto for 1/3 less than the dealer wanted.
 
Doing it myself is not an option, just wanted to see if what I paid was out of line with other Ford dealers.
 
Doing it myself is also not an option. I checked out the nearest Ford dealership and they had no one trained on the Ford GT so I use a place that does other high-end cars and pay about $240. Good luck!

Taking of the belly pans is a pita….434 dollars in my opinion is reasonable considering todays shop rates. Ferrari will charge you 1,300 dollars for a similar oil/filter change.
