Leopard is now installed on my mac. I know there's several of you who use macs here so I'm sharing the most notable upgrade.


SPEED

I know Apple hasn't really pushed this, but WOW, it's MUCH MUCH faster on an intel mac, even with all the new stuff. Coverflow and preview are blazing fast for loading larger files, and mail is noticeably faster as well. :thumbsup


I downloaded it off usenet, but have a legal copy coming Friday morning. If any of you have kids in college, I suggest going to their on campus computer store, as I only paid $69, vs the $116 (IIRC) online for education.

Thanks for the heads up. Just did the pre-order and bought the 500gb Iomega usb 2.0 drive $129.00 !!!! total of 230.00...Man thats a deal.:thumbsup

Interesting tidbit for those of you who have macbooks. The macbook can hold 1gb +2gb of ram, even though apple states it can only hold 1gb+1gb. I just upgraded mine.
