Good morning guys, I thought you all might enjoy a video of my local car club's trip to Lexington KY this past summer. Many different makes (Healey, Porsche, Lambo, Ferrari, Cobra, and of course Ford). My son-in-law is in my SPF Cobra, and I am in the red FGT. I had just gotten the GT and I put some funky blue tape on the front to protect it. It looks like crap, but at least no stone chips on the way up and back. It's kind of a long video, but it begins to get better at the 10 min mark. I believe fast forward is an option on the Google site.

Roger:
Ya, the tape might have looked crappy - but it did what you intended.
HOW DID IT COME OFF?????? 'Leave any "sickum" anywhere?
Was that just your std "blue painter's masking tape", or what?

Blue masking tape glue residue

Larry, it left very little if any glue. It's the kind of tape that's easy on and off and used for painting. I sometimes use it to put under the rag top on the SPF, so I felt pretty sure it wouldn't harm the GT. I gotta get some paint protection or bra on the front of the GT before I nick it. NONE so far! Knock on wood, it's just a question of time and miles before it happens. This is just the waxer and obsessive compulsive part of my personality I guess. BTW, that was one heck a fun drive last summer. That day I saw 160 in the GT as I was overtaking the 911 for lead position; thought I was doing about 90 and my daughter said, "Dad you might want to slow down a bit, we are doing 160!" The brakes were (are) outstanding as well.
