Trying to decide on a new stable mate for the FGT..Boss LS or '96 Viper GTS

GTSweden: Blue with white stripes.
Sinovac: I know!!!! You are killing me because you are right about that fact. Yeah, I know this is the last year for the Boss but the but the Viper GTS came in blue and while only in '96 ...right???? I can pick up the Viper for $35,000.00. I don't think I can lose at that price. Agree?????

I think the '96 Viper GTS value could actually go up in years to come as a classic. No??? I actually think the Gen I and II body styles for the Viper are the nicest and coolest. Beautiful. Very Cobra/Daytonaesq.

The Boss is fantastic but to an extent it's lime light has been cut off by the ZL1 already. In the next few years Ford will likely come out with the next greatest and latest.

Decisions decisions.

Based on your impassioned argument for the GTS, I think you have already made up your mind. :lol
We are blessed to have such "tough" decisions to make.

And there's always something wrong with them, needing repair! I don't think you can beat late models .

Thank you Mr TiceIMG_1728.jpgIMG_1547.jpgIMG_1546.jpgIMG_1510.jpg

Racer X: Thats sweet! Thanks so much for posting the pics!!!!

What wheels are on the Viper???? I really like them.

Thanks.

Just beautiful. I miss my 96 GTS. Should of never sold her......

here is a pic of my 2001 Viper ACR with my GT :cheers

Waxer a good question. I do have the 2012 Boss LS. I also had a bought the VooDoo Viper , one of 31. After I test drove it, killed the deal. Didn't like it. I love the looks but too small inside, handling was strange. I have tracked my LS and it is fantastic. Also the last year for this car. In my case the 2012 was the only year for Canada. I have 1 of only 30 produced for Canada.

Had a 2000 GTS for 6 years. Enjoyed the car. Very unique/high performance relative to value. A good formula to keep in mind IF that's important to you. To me, the Mustang - regardless of iteration - falls short in uniqueness.

The Viper is tight inside (like a GT isn't?) but is a fine road car. Took it on many trips, loafed in 6th gear getting decent mileage, ample luggage, relative comfort. Got lots of thumbs-up, and it was always dependable. Had very little issues of any description, yet build quality/ride quality would be a full rung or two down from the GT. Something you just have to accept OR determine you're above. I imagine the Mustang would have less of these, yet that's the joy/pain of mass production.

If it matters, the Viper Club of America is fabulous, supportive site, and was of immense value during my ownership. Hope this helps.

I agree 100%:thumbsup

Go with the Viper !!

Guys: Thanks for the responses.

FGT build quality is outstanding so I wouldn't expect the Viper to be on par but I understand it was/is hand built.
I love the Boss but I already have two Mustangs so that is knawing at me. The Viper is a rarer sight on the road for sure. My thought is that at $35,000.00 with 8000 miles on the clock the price is right and the stock on the car can only rise from there.
The 1996 Viper GTS from what I am told is "the iconic" Viper in Blue and White.
But i love the Boss LS..( I keep saying that don't I? LOL)

On 2nd thought, Vipers are pieces of crap. Save yourself the agony and get the stang. Please pm me phone number to the guy selling the Viper.
