I agree. They look great. I would like someone else to try them out, though.

that's different. How long have they been on the market.

Note: Not approved for OE (Ford) use.

Seems to be a great choice to clean up the engine bay, but how well do they hold up compared to standard clamps?

Interesting. I can say for a fact, nobody has ever criticized my hose clamps.

Several manufactures have been using these for some time now. Very clean look

Bingo on all counts.

I instantly thought of the old saying, "If it seems too good to be true..."

Applying heat evenly a full 360 degrees won't always be possible either. (Ya, I know - use a belt clamp in places like that. That'd look great. Metal clamps here - shrink clamps there...yada yada.)

I'm going to my room now...

OEM clamps always seem to draw blood when I am working on a car. These won't have that problem, OEM spring clamps do.

In most locations where I've removed or assembled hoses, I don't have room for a heat gun or the clamp slicer, which means I'd have to cut the hose off or use a torch to heat it. Of course, Gates is in the business to sell hoses and belts....

I rest my case...

Honestly, when I saw the thread title, I really thought that THIS is what you meant when you said "these would sure look nice on our engines". Certainly, IMO!!!

I wouldn't put that on my engine, but it would look nice somewhere else in the house. :lol
