The Last Shelby Cobra

Just met up with Chris at a car guy luncheon an hour ago. He's in Florida for a few weeks.

I Completed reading the book last evening. a Very good read.
Lots of familiar faces, stories , peoples names that I worked with, events etc .
Many 'under the radar ' stories by Chris as he relives the years.
You will enjoy it.!

The Last Shelby Cobra

To my pleasant surprise, “The Last Shelby Cobra” was selected as one of three finalists by the Motor Press Guild for the Best Book division of the 2019 MPG/Dean Batchelor Award.

It’s an honor to be included as a finalist with renowned authors Don Emde, “The Speed Kings, The Rise and Fall of Motordrome Racing,” and Karl Ludvigsen, “Porsche: Excellence Was Expected.”

The MPG awards dinner will be held on Feb. 23 at the Petersen Museum in Los Angeles. Ticket info is available at https://www.motorpressguild.org/event-calendar/mpg-awards/

For those in the LA area, Don Emde and I will be available for book signings at Autobooks in Burbank, CA on Saturday, Feb. 22 from 10:00 – 2:00 https://www.autobooks-aerobooks.com

I’d like to thank all who helped me with my first book: providing stories, photographs and proof-reading multiple times – and thanks to all who have purchased the book. I hope you enjoy it!

Enjoyed seeing Daisy in action on Leno last night, Chris!! She’s awesome!!!
I don’t know how to post the link but others can Google Leno 2004 Cobra and the show should come up.

I remember many moons ago trying to track down this Concept Cobra to see if it could be purchased and then discovered it at auction. I always wondered who won the bid. Glad the car went to the right person. Congratulations Chris. There was a company down in Australia, DRB making a body kit of this car DRB 540 that was based on a Falcon. Ordering the book now, cant wait to read.

Great book with a great deal of information that I did not know.

The Jay Leno's Garage this week featured the car.
