I saw the show last week. That spot was really kind of an ad for Teslas. The snip with Johnny Carson's car was cool though.
 
Just read a interesting article about how expensive it is to insure a Tesla. Model 3 is priced the same as a Porshe 911. The millennial's are freaking out.
 
Millennials also don't like Tesla because it is not "self driving "
I was told by one.

Their competition keeps getting worse...

The new Leaf got uglier; Volt is unloved; their re-charging stations are light-years behind.

It’s like Black Berry issuing a Palm Pilot to compete with iPhone 3
