Temperature gauge removal

Gents,
As I recently posted, after some spaz inadvertently drained my battery (....me) - my temp gauge died. I recharged battery - no luck. Tried a new battery - no luck. I recently bought a new gauge amd have a pal who can help swap them.

Anyone have real world instructions or tips on how to swap out the gauge ?
Is it a tough job for a newbie?

Very easy Jax. Don`t be scared. Just have the proper allen and a pair of snips. just go slow.
I switched all mine for a set of speedhut gauges. You can do it. Good luck. Mike

You have to remove the instrument panel. It's not that hard. Just use lots of blue tape since all the surfaces around are easily scratched or marred if the contact.
