I was at a car show and someone said someone was making a Ford GT targa for display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas which I think is in January. They said it was Mark Gerish of Wisconsin (can' tspell the name of that town) but when I called Gerish's office they said he wasn't (busy with stretching Rolls Phantoms, etc.). He is a talent aluminum bender--has built Cobra bodywork for Jay Leno, etc. I figure the Ford GT sans roof would be about 30% torsionally less stiffer but a roll cage could make up for that, if there was room for a roll cage. Anybody else know if anyone is cutting one down into a roadster?
PS In Ford GT40 history there were several targas, mostly small blocks like the one Bondie flipped in the Targa except for one big block that won Sebring in '66.
