Has anyone thought of using an Aluminium Cargo Carrier? It installs on a trailer hitch. I saw that at least one person has installed a bolt on trailer hitch on his GT. The cargo carrier could then slip in when needed to carry a small amount of luggage. Harbor Freight sells an aluminium cargo Carrier for $59.99. It weighs 27# and is 49"x22.5"x 8".

:bang :smash :bang
no comment.... harbor what?

I think you guys should consider the "inside the clamshell" temperature when considering these things. Baron's trailer is well removed from the back of the car for plenty of air flow, but I think these are too worrisome for obstruction. I can already see Bony's temperature going up.

I have seen these "cargo carriers" on a few cars and SUV's. Almost everyone of them is bent, usually sloping toward the ground away from the vehicle. I would also be concerned about rear visibility, backing up, etc. ... not to mention how it would look. PD

I don't see how you could use the cargo carrier with GT Exhaust exiting out the back? TGH :confused

I can't even imagine anyone thinking of putting this or anything remotely close to this on their GT. Just my opinion.

Frank, I am preparing:-
BONY'S GUIDE TO HIGHWAY CUSINE,...
USING THE GT'S COMPARTMENTS IN LIEU
OF HAVING A GOURMET KITCHEN AT YOUR DISPOSAL.

Wallace from Cobra book fame is guiding me through the process.
Might call you for some of your receipes... :banana

Please learn how to spell or type first. I certainly wouldn't want some ingredients mixed up with others (moles for mole' for example). I will be happy to proofread and edit.
