"The Stig" is the unknown race car driver that drives the Top Gear cars. The idea is that if one person drives all the cars on the same track then the difference is the car. I don't know who the US Stig is but the new UK Stig is rumored to be Sabine Schmitz (the Nurburgring "Taxi driver").

I've always taken these Top Gear "record times" with a bag of salt. While there's no question Hennessey's ZR1 did what it did on the day it did it (and congrats are definitely in order, BTW!!! :thumbsup:thumbsup), "X" number of the times posted on T.G.'s board were times recorded on less than optimum track days, "Y" number on "O.K." days, etc., etc. So, there really isn't any "level playing field" to work with no matter how hard they try to create one. In that sense the "record board" really isn't "fair" to anyone/any car on it (in G.B. or the U.S.). 'Just MO.

All that aside, Hennessy's 'Vette is just plain scary!!!!! :willy:willy:willy
