This is a short video of a quick test using my low-profile shifter ball with short-throw shifter. This is almost 40% less throw over the stock setup.

Regardless of your progress on the nuclear reactor light, you're still my hero. How'd you mount the camera and to what?

fjpikul,

Everytime I start working on the engine compartment light, I think of you. No doubt, you will be customer #1 for this product. I have a top notch optical designer assisting me in making sure that the illumination is uniform. You have probably heard this song before. We are testing a new optical design program and plan on completing the task by next week. I will keep you posted. Between a sick parent and having to do my "normal" job first, it makes progress on this difficult :frown.

The camera is a miniature color unit, with built-in mic, attached to a mic boom. The mic boom was anchored to the floor of the car with a 20 lb "shot bag." The mic boom was hand-held by my friend (the one doing all of the talking). I was a wild ride!
