She's Here !!!!!!!

This evening, 4/24/07, at 10:26 p.m., our first grandchild, lil' Paige Taylor Cook came into the world! Her weighs 8 lb 4 ozs and is 20" long - exactly the same "stats" as her mommy's when she was born. Her also gots a full head of dark brown hair, ALSO like her mommy had!

Praise be to God, both mommy and baby are doing just fine! (And so are her daddy, her gramma, and her grampa ...I think!!!)

And I KNOW every parent and grandparent says this, but - DANG! She's CUTE!!!

(The pics to prove that are on page 3 of this thread now, thanks to my son-in-law.:lol )

let the toy buying begin !!!
one of the first words i had my granddaughter say was corvette. she is now 5 and knows most american sports cars that i show her pictures of !!!!!

Well, as a Grandfather of 8, I can honestly say it gets better and better.

That's great news... congratulations.

My daughter is only 9 years old so I have a while to go until I might one day be a grandfather, but I imagine it to be a deeply emotional day somehow. Changing of the guard, life's great cycle, the passing of time, the moment of your own parenthood passing somehow - all that stuff. Which is all fantastic - but must be kinda strange somehow too?

Delighted to hear that mother and little one are well - I shall raise a wee dram tonight!
