Saleen S7 Question

Does anyone own a Saleen S7?

I know they build everything from the ground up with these cars...do they also do the paint jobs in house? Anyone have any info on the the burnt orange metallic color?

My brother has one, it's a redish orange (more red tho). Beautiful color. I'll ask him if they painted it in house.

They do paint them in house. I bought one of their 281 Extreme Mustangs and had it painted the color you are talking about. It is called Beryllium. It definately draws a lot of attention. It would be stunning on an S7.

Like the Saleen S7 in the movie Redline? Call the Producer/Financier/Car owner extraodinaire of the flick Daniel Sadek and ask him if the Saleen did the paint in house.

Drive up to Prestige imports and ask in person, I think they had one that color last time I was there.

Yes it's a custom Saleen (BASF) color and done in house. A cousin o' mine owns the first car they ever painted Beryllium; from what I've heard they start with either silver or black as the base color.

Go for the gold and get a S7 in extreme. Beryllium and Lizstick (the red color) are what you see that car in most of the time. I don't think they've made a S7 in extreme yet...?

I'ver taken a tour in the Saleen shop in Irvine and saw the S7 in different stages of construction, including bare carbon fiber body...really cool.
