Bony, I'll give you a little more..........:bs

You know, if you go through the build data, my car is only 1 of 55 red cars in '05 with all four options (thanks Quickdraw). Yes, red may be the most common color (and the best), but the variations on the theme are greater. Add all the fabulous signatures and it's priceless.

It does seem the reds bring the lowest dollar, however, percentage wise its not significant vs. total purchase cost. I don't think there will be a major difference in value going into the future. I think it will be more a function of condition and mileage. I don't know of any classic car that has had its value swing significantly by what color it was. The Heritage however may be worth more. How much.... who knows.

Color preference at the outset when the car was released as I remember was for red now its something else. Things could change with time back to red. Who knows. Red was used in all the promos, company posters etc.., even Superbowl comercial GT was red and it is the color GT Ford put in the museum. Whatever that means.

I wouldn't say a total of about 1000 reds world wide is a "ton". But there were more reds produced than other colors. White is not far behind in number though.

Color is subjective. . Personally, I like all the colors but I do like Red the best (yellow being a close second) and think the GT is gorgeous in the MarkIV red and shows its lines the best(and yellow)...thats why I bought it despite the fact there is "a ton" of them. :wink :lol. I wouldn't do it different even if given the chance.

Agreed!

Actually, from my close watch on the GT market, white is probably the lowest priced (maybe by 2-3 thousand dollars) and seems to be most commonly for sale. Tungsten cars seem to be offered
very frequently too.

Every GT is gorgeous...every color produced was one that has popular appeal (maybe Heritage to a lesser extent , but the Heritage colors are special, meaningful and historical and have have semi-fanatical appeal to a bunch of people:thumbsup)

Here is the plain and simple, ALL these cars are doing well in the re-sale market. I was looking at my RED car today and thinking maybe it should have been the car to Twin Turbo (since red is so flashy!), but its to late for that now..... Anyway, just enjoy the car. Love the color that you have chosen and dont let others opinions, etc, get to you. Hell, I would drive a brown one if I had to, as long as it was clean, etc, the car would look good in almost any color. Me personally, I would like to own one in a bright orange! :thumbsup

Bony, I will take it and give you an extra $10k just cause I am a nice guy!

You guys are the best, a forum member has offered me stock options on his next really big deal, and I am considering the offer very carefully. I will either take it or keep #1153.
