Does anyone know if any owners have returned their GT's to Ford based upon problems and issues they have experienced? (just asking)

Well, Jeremy Clarkson (Top Gear) sent his back! "Mend it, or I'll bonk your dog!" was his comment to Ford as I recall... but all in good fun, as it was just the immobiliser and alarm farting out, and he bought it a second time once it was sorted....

I've been interrogating owners and I can't find one who doesn't basically scream at me... "BUY THIS CAR IMMEDIATELY!"

A good sign... :thumbsup

You admittedly don't own or have the ability to purchase one, and all you do is ask for faults/issues of the car. This site is geared towards owners. I have patience for all manner of posts, but if you continue to trawl for potential arguments, you won't last long.

never heard about one going back in the USA. Ford has been more than stand up about issues. We are so happy we are going to visit the factory and designer to express our appreciation. :wink

BTW - has anyone heard of jealous spectators who hasn't got a GT, and are just looking for ways to put our fine car down??

(Clue: Look through the previous posts from the guy who started this thread)

Clarkson's problem was with the aftermarket alarm, not with the GT itself, so that doesn't count.

Are you looking to pick up a cheap GT, and think that this could be the clever approach?? (just asking)

Well thank you to those who have read the post and replied in the way it was intended.

Its just that I have seen a GT at a dismantling compound in the UK which made me wonder if it could have been a return as Ford would not spend the money shipping it back to the US. I am not saying this this car was going to be crushed/dismantled, but if it was, it is likely to be a GT used by the press. All other pretigious cars such as Astons and Jaguars are crushed at this depo to avoid any of them leaking into the market whether they are ex press cars, prototypes, or early production cars. Not one nut is taken from these cars, they are completely crushed.

Anyway thanks for your replies people. :thumbsup

Yikes - nice news story... :ack

I would assume that as it was a puppy he can be prosecuted for interfering with a minor as well? I'm not sure what the age of consent is for a dog or even if they kiss on a first date.

I wouldn't want to try it with my Boxer first thing in the morning: he's hideous until he's put his make-up on :slap

Reminds me of the story of the girl that went to her doctor with badly scratched palms and knees - 'what on earth have you done?' asked the doctor to which she replied (best done with either a Devonian accent or your equivalent) 'Oi bin doin' it doggy on the garage floor'. 'Why don't you try it the other way around?' asked the doctor....

At this point you may insert your own punch line 'I can't stand the dog's breath' ususally works.... :lol
