Replacing the black tape between Heritage colors with hand painted?

Has anyone looked in to replacing the black tape between the colors on the Heritage with hand painted striping? It's a matter of time before that tape comes off, and there are plenty of excellent painters out there that do hand painted pin striping on cars all the time. Not to mention the tape just looks cheap. Seems like a more permanent solution. Any ideas?

Why not clear coat the whole thing.
I know it sounds extreme, but it would protect your car further, and seal the tape in.
The 360CS has vinyl stripes that are clear coated in, so it is not too far fetched, although I think having a good pin-striper do it would be a little more realistic.
I personally would not do the clearcoat, but it was just a thought. :biggrin

I had a 360CS last year. The stripes were wafer thin, much thinner than the tape used on the GT. I don't think clear coating would work due to the thickness. Keep those ideas coming! Also, does anybody know if the round white section is paint or a sticker? Thanks.

Sticker..Black stripe and meatballs are stickers.

Yeah, I thought so.
