Replace Whipple supercharger belt

Gents,

I am wondering how complicated it is to replace my Whipple 's belt and if there are any tricks or tips?

From looking at the service manual (I know there may be easier ways to do things sometimes), it looks like have to put car on lift, drop belly pans....

Many successfully change the belt from the top by unbolting the supercharger and tipping it forward. I drop the mid pan only and release the tensioner from the bottom.

Well, there can be no success in this technique to change a belt. On the FGT, the SC belt is the inner-most belt and both the accessory belt and oil pump belt MUST be removed first to get a new SC belt in place.

In defense of Sinovac, the technique described (exercised with caution) is a nice shortcut to remove and install a SC without removing any pans. The belt is another story.
 
Of course nota4re is right. I described removing the belt from the supercharger pulley only. So much for my reading comprehension.
