Removing front spolier

Has anyone tried to take off the front spoiler? I live on a dirt road and it has hit a few times. I'd just like to get it off and not worry about it. Any thoughts

(I apparently ordered mine without one, but) In reality, it is just a series of very easily removed fasteners.

92NSX can tell you the shop manual page numbers which show which fasteners affix the spoiler to the front.

Be aware that without it, you can/will scrape the front chin...arguably a more concerning bit of damage.

You might want to use a plastic material as a buffer between the spoiler and your dirt roadway rather than run risk to the chin.

If you drive at speed you may have a lift problem

but only at speeds exceeding 190 mph (trust me, because I
already lost my frontspoiler in Oct 2005 and had to drive
3 weeks without) :wink

The GT looks dangerously exposed without the spoiler!

I generally regard this area on low cars as sacraficial in some way - it's kind of expected that it'll get scored and damaged. As eshrink says, it's a buffer.

I live up a dirt road and when the GT comes up it, I end up with spoiler full of dirt. The murcielago used to fill the side 'pods' with dirt too, which looked far worse...
