I am interested in how many of you have gray vs. red painted caliper option.

Thank you.

RED calipers.

RED calipers, soon to have brembo decals

The GT Registry displays caliper info.

have gray but would like red

Brembo decals?

Yes, Awsum, I wish mine had come with red as well.

Oh well.

eShrink... are you going to attend the GT rally?

My Heritage came with gray, then I had them removed and painted light blue to match the car. Having the wheels polished and painted orange to match the stripe, then clear coated all over (1969 style). Should be back together next week. :biggrin

Once you go black, you don't go back.
Well, since I started with black, I have nothing to go back to.
I will have mine powdercoated if I do not change the OEM setup with an aftermarket BBK. I may go with blue to match the stripe, but I do love yellow calipers. :biggrin

Post pictures when you are done. A couple of us have discussed that the only thing wrong with the Heritage is that the wheels should have been more in style with the originals, and painted orange. Would love to see it :thumbsup

Gulf, make sure you post pictures. My calipers are red to match my car.

red

Red. Looks great in contrast with the black wheel well and tires.

Gray...but changing to yellow on the yellow car.

Grey on Tungsten, I like uniformity!!!

grey on tunsten GT- subtle look

Curious to me that the color of the caliper was an option that could be determined by the buyer. Seems that it would have been tied to the car color. However, obviously, people have different views. I think my blue car would have looked better with red calipers, but the ordering dealer chose gray.

What was this mention above regarding Brembo decal? Have people been putting them on their calipers. A decal seems destined to fail in the heat.

I agree Doc. I personally would rather keep away from that type of decal, I also think it cheapens the car. If the word Brembo were molded into the caliper that would be fine. Jusy my opinion...Dan

would like to see a picture of that!

Dan:

And...the name is, on some cars, part of the casting of the caliper. Looks very good.

I would think:

Decals on rear window - good
Decals on brake calipers - not good

I suspect that Grey gives an elegant look to the car. Red gives a racing look to the car. It is a race car; it should have red calipers. IMHO. However, mine does not.
