Question for you owners

I own an 03 911 turbo and just sold my 07 911 turbo that was modified to over 600 hp by Switzer performance. I also own a 2005 gt with pulley, tune and exhaust and a few other car toys Here is the difference. The GT sounds like a muscle car. It keeps it value (unlike the porsches), its american made, its a car that when you pull up to a light people dont want to race you, they want to take pictures and talk to you. Kids smile and cheer when they see it. I cant explain it but every gt owner sees it and knows it. Before I got the GT I drove the porsches and my viper. My wife now drives the porsches and I drive the GT. Need I say anymore!!!!

Things I am NOT: Able to afford multiple supercars, a Ford guy, against European cars.

I set out about three years ago, with a budget of ~$200K, to get my hands on the best performance car within my budget. I made a list of the characteristics that were important to me and ranked the available cars according to published evidence. The GT was not at the top of each category, but is a hands down winner in overall consideration of tangibles/intangibles. I still feel the same today.

An additional benefit that I did not necessarily account for is the GT community. I participated in my first GT rally recently at VIR (which I drove to, drove on the track, and drove home in the GT, 1,400 miles). That experience confirmed it, I made the right choice.

Get a GT, you won't regret it. If by some remote chance you do regret it, sell it, prices are not dropping (GT is #1 in that category IMO).
