I just purchased an 05 GT with 6.5 miles on the odometer. The car had never been registered and was still on the MSO. When I went to get an inspection sticker this came up: "Your new vehicle's On-Board (OBD) system received an advisory functional check which found that the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) programmed into your vehicle's OBD system does not match the VIN of your vehicle. "

Does anyone know how to correct this? Would a Ford dealer be able to re-flash the OBD?

Thanks,
Rick

Sorry I don't have an answer - but sounds like a great vehicle! Where did you get it? COlor?

Congrats!!

Did they tell you what two VINs they compared? Could it be that the inspector transposed some digits of the OBD VIN vs the one on the car?

Sounds like a trip to Ford.

Saw Rick last weekend, he got blue w white stripes. Was awesome to see basically a wrapper car.

Rick, The dealer can do what is called an As Built Data install or download. This will VIN match all network computers. What state are you in? Im in Spring Hill, FL. Please let me know if I can help? Congrats on the new car.
