Looks like prices are continuing to climb on our GT's. A gulf colour 968 mile car just got 279k, while a Quicksliver 8 miler got 239k!

Can't go off eBay. I know for a fact one of those sales was completed at a lower price. Half the time on eBay the completed sales aren't even completed.

Yep. eBay is no guide for prices. Lots of stuff goes on there. I do agree by asking prices most everywhere, that prices are likely up , FOR NOW.

I was wondering what contributing factors could aid in the decline of pricing , after all ; most of these cars have passed the big depreciation threshold long ago

Economy, good times good prices, bad times bad prices

Make it stop!!! I want to get back in!!!

:agree: 100%

Prices have been good lately and I also agree with DBK, cant go off of completed listing on ebay. More times than not, a completed price you see on there was a cheaper price between two parties that agreed to a price over the phone and just used the buy it now to complete their ebay transaction. I would be surprised if the Gulf car sold for $279k, but its not impossible....

Alot of other exotics became badly dated in looks

It's almost impossible to tell a 430 from a 360 and gallardos are too angular...like 80s

Waiting for both these to fall off price cliff

That's leaves u with 458 & Aventador...which alot can't afford or even get on list to get

GT at $150-175 is bargain & good looks buys u alot

LOL. You obviously haven't checked current prices;)

I'll take another GT for $150,000 but I think those days are long gone.

poof.

Whats market ?

Thread killer! haha.

Yes....it's true that sales are completed on these things for less than the posted price...but not by a huge margin. I don't know for sure - but on both of the cars I posted about, I'd be surprised if there was a 10k difference between sold vs. actual.

Twas.

You are right that prices are much higher recently though, especially on the ultra-low mileage stuff. As always, certain colors are bringing more than others.

DBK,

WHICH colors are bringing more than others? What are the premium colors in order?

Heritage is always worth the most by a wide margin, but I've seen a couple blue cars sell recently for really strong money. They are all high, but I suppose when there are smaller numbers of a certain color a guy really wants, they are more apt to pay up at this point.
