For those who are staying at the track or north of the hotel, we'll meet up around 10:00 at the intersection of GA400 and Rt 53 (the road the track is on). Address is 6625 Hwy 53 East, Dawsonville, GA 30534. There is a Shell station at the intersection. This is the same parking lot as last year.

Our bags are packed and go to FedEx for shipping to The Avalon tomorrow. My wife is as fired up about driving to Atlanta Wednesday as I am...even when I told her she had to pack her makeup for shipping.

For anyone looking for something to do today thats maybe a half day event, I have a couple of suggestions.
For the old car nut, I highly recommend Old Car City. I went a couple months ago and I would estimate 95% of the vehicles are 1960-1975 American cars. Be prepared to walk...a lot. Very friendly GT parking lot and a nice drive out there. Stay away from rush hour. "Come enjoy the Old South environment, folk art, ghosts of beautiful classic cars, and much more! With over 34 acres and over 4000 American-made cars from the early 20th Century, these cars, trucks, vans, and even a couple school buses are placed in such a way as to be ideally suited for photos."

For the adrenaline junky, the kart track at Atlanta Motorsports Park is one of the best in the world and has some awesome elevation changes. This is not your normal K1 Speed track. It is outdoors and very exciting and challenging. They have public karting starting at 1PM each day. You can drive up GA 400 (the highway next to the hotel), but some of the back roads drive through some great GA countryside.

May be worth it to swing by the track tomorrow, either going out or back whichever is closest to pickup the ticket packages at will call.

Super easy. At track entrance is a big sign at west entrance says will call.
They have a box with everyones tickets and if GT a parking pass with last name on envelope in alphabetical order. Got mine and drove over to the amazing over the top nice Ford GT area. View of track is superb
