Well I've gotten this far...Im a week or two behind on painting, but this weekend it will be all coming togther and I should have the doors done tonight and the roof recleared as I am clearing, wet sanding and reclearing everything twice. I painted the cowl body color to be different too and I kinda like it. Still ALOT OF WORK TODO.. Dash, Interior, and windshield will be going in tomorrow and I will work on getting the rest of the car painted. Then as far as the rest of it goes, motor and trans is out, new balancer being made, the cams are out getting balanced, computer is getting upgrades, axles are getting upgraded, im adding egt's to it, Injectors are getting bigger, flowed and checked after dyno stuff, I dont have any blowers yet as they are @ PRocharger and 360 forged is building me a set of 19*13 rear wheels for the 345-30-19 R6's and they will be here on the 14th. Then powder coat for a bunch of the stuff yet and my brother decided he wanted to build me a Carbon Air box to mate up to the ram air tubes in the clamb, so he is 50-70 hours into that already. It uses two 12" by 13'' panel filters off a 2011 Toyota Tundra and K&N stocks them:) Carbon clamb shell with custom carbon air tubes to air box will be ready this weekend. Just gotta make the tubes and bond them in and then bond the clamb together. Then sometime next week I will paint the rear bumper and clamb last. So I won't be making Tx2k12, but I should have it mostly done by the end of next week and back on the dyno for testing and ready for road testing and ready to head to texas for the mile.

We have been doing a timelaps photo's with a go pro when working on some of the projects. I will do a video when all finish and it should turn out pretty cool. By then it will be I bet about 20000 pics if not more. I will also do a build thread with alot of photos from the begining 3 years ago.

Here is a pic of the roof skin on monday, We just bonded the 1 piece carbon roof on it. Some day I would like to do a GT with Cosmetic Carbon Stripes on a blk car even tho I hate black LOL

BTW I can see the light at the end of the tunnel....:willy

Awesome work man... With all that CF I would have liked to see the car with just a clear coat...:-)
It's always a pleasure to follow a build of this caliber - keep those pics coming!

I originally wanted todo blue carbon kevlar stripes with this paint color as they go hand in hand. But Im outta time and I wanna drive this thing. My next GT project I will maybe do something crazy with carbon stripes on it.

I luv that blue. It is going to show off every curve on the GT.

I bought my Cadillac just because it had that color. Caddy calls it, 'Outa The Blue'.

:eek wow!

cant wait to see pics of the car in sunlight!

Can`t wait to see more pics. Its not very often you get to see a naked GT..

Thanks for the update Dan,, Looking good !!

What a great clamp collection! :lol

I need all those when we bond mustang carbon doors together LOL

Thanks too:D

Gorgeous! Can't wait to see it when finished.

The carbon roof looks great, looks like one piece. Did you make it, what do you use for bonding.

Made it yes, but we used a primer in the mold as I intended on painting it so it is not cosmetic.

Painted the doors, gotta wet sand and reclear them again. Wet sanded and recleared the roof, put the windsheild and dash is back in. I had a stenzel made for the Ford GT on the door and we painted them on using same color as the roof. Also the tungsten Grey stripes is Different than the 06 GT Tungsten color...Wait till ya see it in person. PURE SEX......Working on painting the front clip today and tomorrow.:willy Clamb and Rear bumper will be last.

Its getn close, I have a few more pics. I was about a day or so away from making the Texas Mile. Now I have to take care of my customers this week so I plan on having it done by the 5th for my birthday and taking it to cars and coffee on the 7th.....I have a new found respect for anyone who has painted the heritage style stripe on a car...Unless you have a pattern its not an easy task on the front bumper and fenders...

It makes me very happy when I see a severely wounded Ford GT brought back to life. Well done.
