Oxidizing Rotor Hats...

It seems that it is a fairly common problem for the stock rotor hats to oxidize and even produce surface rust on the painted surfaces.

What is the best solution? Have any of you managed to deal with this under warranty? I think the hats on the Ford Racing 2-piece rotors are aluminum (and painted black), so would it be safe to say that this rotor would not oxidize and produce surface rust? Or, would I be better off just to have the stock rotors re-painted (hopefully under warranty) every so often?

I doubt is rusting rotors are a warrantee item. Quite common for the typical cast iron rotors. The FRPP rotors would be much better, but will still show rust on all places that the pads do not rub on. A lower cost solution would be to find some cadmium plated rotors.
