oil on spark plugs

I removed my plugs the other day to do an inspection, I was surprised by the amount of oil on the plug threads. I am used to seeing a few threads with a little oil, but all the threads were wet. Is this normal or do I have a problem? By the way, the plugs themselves were dry and looked normal.

Its the valve cover gaskets at the spark plug holes. They are seeping a little. As long as there is no puddle in the spark plug bores, its not much to worry about. Then again, they are simple to replace.

I changed mine to NGK TR6IX yesterday; during the process, I did not see oil on the threads but then I have a low mileage car.
