Here's my 1975 FJ40.

Was given to me (1987) by my dad. R
required 2 years of work to get it road worthy, so i didn't actually drive it until I was 18.

I've done a host of upgrades once I got a real job..

A/C
Power steering
4 wheel disk brakes
4" Lift
Electronic Ignition (the points were always getting off where they were supposed to be)
Frame on restoration, including all new upholstery, weatherstripping, quarter panels (bye bye rust), etc
Upgraded headlights

Top speed is maybe 80 with a big tail wind. 70ish most days. Mileage sucks.. maybe 11 mpg with new tune up.
While I may call the GT a pussay magnet... this landcruiser is definitely a "prostate magnet." Any time i go for a fill up.. some old dude comes over to tell me about how he used to have one, or wanted one, etc...

Nice, Stock power or maybe a 289 Ford? :driving:

Love the snorkel

thx guys. It does have the OEM drivetrain. It was rebuilt (with toyota oem pistons) about 50k ago.. only has something like 122k on the chassis. Stock 4 speed transmission, stock 2F straight 6 4.2l motor. It's the same motor that they put into the toyota forklift. All torque. minimal HP. I did a 0-60 once when i was in college... 24 seconds... and that was beating the shit out of it...

That is so beautiful. My favorite color too. You are close, I want to see it!

Waaay too clean!!!!!! Git some mud on it...

The guy who lives across the street from Jeff has one exactly like it - and I mean EXACTLY like it! (Probably even the same license number. :biggrin)

Looks awesome in person! :thumbsup
