After owning my GT only a few days I have a wrecked rear tyre after hitting debris at high speed on m/way, recovered vehicle home and now need to remove, so, no jack, no lug wrench, no instructions regarding lifting vehicle etc.

Did a search, anyone advise on the correct jacking points please.

:frown

OK, Thanks, found the info.

The lift points under the GT are quite small and not terribly easy to locate first time around - you need to find something to fit within them. There are jack pads available on the forum (you might have a search) as you need to be careful not to damage the bellypan....

Hi mate,

I've seen the jack pads here and your ramps, will get a set ordered Monday, I own a steel fabrication shop so will get a set of ramps made too, for now trying to get repaired asap, sourced a replacement tyre for delivery Tuesday & wheel rim chip repair is organised.
My regular trolley jacks are useless but this may be helpful, let me know what you, (or anyone else), think.

I wouldn't trust that "bag" as far as I could throw the factory in which it was made, roger. 'Just something about that kinda product...:willy:willy:willy

For the sake of a few $$/££ thought it may be useful although I wouldnt leave the car supported solely on it.
Ordered a pair of low level race jacks which used with the ramps should work ok.

Thanks.

If you mean GTsaver's pads - no. They're solid.

What makes them go up and down?

Your floor jack. They sit on the "lift pad" of the 'jack. They are a "pad" for same to prevent damage to the GT (they're made of a soft plastic). They have a "protruding nob" on them that fits up into the lift hole on the GT's frame to "center" 'em on the lift point.

OK, now I understand. Still need to purchase a low profile jack to get under her. I am just a little slow this morning:bang
thanks:cheers

Analogdesigners jack pads are a tough nylon (maybe Delrin, but his proprietary secret) build. The outside diameter is made to fit a standard jack head. Roger, your owners manual has a page that demos where the 6 jacking points are at (4 front, 2 rear). Your idea of the blow up bag will probably cause the underbellypans to crinkle. Neilda's ramps are excellent and make it very easy to get a standard, rolling jack underneath.

No slower than I on most days...:willy

If you can't find a low enough profile unit on the net, lemme know & I'll hunt up the paper work on mine for you. THAT sucker is L-O-W.

H-e-a-v-y, but low.

as per Shadowman... there is a beam that goes from the drivers to passengers side under the car. If you look underneath the car just in front the side scoops there is a seam with a row of torx head screws. That is the beam. You can lift the car there with a couple of shop rags on the jack pad and get the front and back of the car on low jack stands on one side then lift the other side. No issues. Supposedly that is one method several of the service groups use... never saw them do it in person but that is what I have been told. Makes general service work really easy.

Hope that helps.
