My winter projects, LOTS OF PICS!

Yeah, I am going on the patio and read my San Francisco Chronicle and smoke a cigar, down to 60 here so I better put on my vest and roll down my sleaves...

Sure.....rub it in!:biggrin

The phrase "ribbed for pleasure" comes to mind. :lol

This all looks very nice. Have you dynoed it to see how much horsepower has been lost by constricting the exhaust?

I have not dynoed the car with this setup. I would imagine that any loss would be negligible. I would also surmise that different runs on the same dyno, back to back, would give you more variation in hp/tq than these inserts.

Great information, thanks for the research. We all just get more and more goodies and ideas to play with from guys like you posting things on the forum.

I have ordered the bracket and wiring kit for the radar detector. A great find and a clean install using both of them together.:cheers

I also used black buttonheads for the Stillen splitter. It gives it a much better look.

Well, I guess I will need to turn the air back on as it is in the 89's here and I don't want to be too warm for the speed run up Hwy 74 into the mountains.:banana

Jim,

Is it possible to post a pic of the buttonheads on the splitter you are referring to? .....and where did you pick the buttonheads up at?

Thanks,
Herb

Herb, I can take a pic of my setup later for you. I got my hardware from my local Fastenall shop. If you don't have one local, I get get you the hardware and send it to you.

Jeff

If you're not using Holochrome fasteners you should. They're not a lot more and hold up almost as well as stainless steel. Any other black fasteners I've ever used rust after a while even if they are not exposed to salt.
