I traded my Silver GT to Shelby for his yellow Carrera GT. My first Porsche...I was born in Stuttgart and had to finally get one. This car is like the FGT....the last of the analog supercars. I guess I got a little bored with 2 FGT's and decided to swap for something else. The McLaren and the F458 are great cars, but I guess I'm old school and gotta have 3 pedals and a stick shift. I had a paddle shift Ferrari (360 CS) and got bored with it after 3 years. I also had to have a yellow car this time, and there's only a few cars that look good in yellow IMHO...the FGT, the Ferrari Daytona and Dino, and the Carrera GT. This car is a bit raw like the Stradale but with a ton more HP. Solid as a tank, but revs and screams to redline.

Wow. Just Wow. My 'other' dream car. Congrats!

Congrats, love the cgt's! Keep us posted on your impressions and experience.

V10, gears, 200mph+ top speed. What's not to like?

Congrats. The Carrera GT is also one of my all time top two favorites.
Awesome looking, awesome sounding, and limkted production like the GT.
I only wish I was a bit smaller or it a bit bigger so I coukd fit in one.
Enjoy!

You´ve got great taste in cars :thumbsup

What model is the gold Italian in the background?

:cheers

The Ferrari is a '67 330 GTC. Mostly original paint (oro chiaro metallizato) with correct red interior. 24k miles on it. It is a wonderful vintage Enzo era V-12. I drove it 140 miles round trip to Cars and Coffee last Saturday. I also have a 1970 365 GT 2+2...the "Queen Mother".

Congratulations! One of the best sounding cars out there for sure.

Excellent!

Congrats, that is my favorite Porsche by far.. you are my hero..

That's awesome. Jelly I am. Congrats an picking up another 'keeper' car. Love it.

You really have great taste. It's one on my list! That color is really the nicest!!!

Congrats

Way to go.....on my list of cars to acquire 1 day......I think.............

You know, you really make me sick. From a Tesla to a CGT. You have no morals; and, after you got rid of your Mini.

It's a beauty! Glad you had the good judgement to keep the white/blue FGT!

Garage floor is beautiful--is that a 2-part epoxy or something else?

Exactly...2 part epoxy. Has held up well over the last 6 years. Doesn't chip if you drop a wrench. Tolerates oil and gas spills. Been happy with it. I have a 2nd building that was just finished. It has an epoxy base with flakes and polyurethane sealant. It is more "industrial" looking with the galvanized steel walls.

The Mini and my 2 Jags sold due to the good graces of Bony. He let me post them in the for sale section. The Mini nearly caught on fire a time or two....like my Speedhut gauges... :)

I was at Shelby's last week and saw it in the show room - gorgeous!
