RIP old boy. Thanks for the mammaries!

His passing marks the end of an era.

His mansion was sold to someone that granted a "life estate" to Hugh. I wonder what will happen to the property now.

Well .... he was planning ahead for this moment - he bought the crypt that is directly above Marilyn Monroe's crypt, for $250K a few years ago. The folks that previously owned that crypt ran into some financial difficulties, pulled the old boy that was in it, and sold to Hefner. Hefner said he was looking forward to spending eternity on top of Marilyn.

Artist and Visionary

No different than Venus de milo creator, Rubens, Picasso

Medium was more modern

And he got paid in his lifetime, in every respect: fame, fortune and decadence.

And somehow he didn't lose his estate to ex-wives. Well, we'll see what happens next--the vanity media will be following all the twists and turns of his estate settlement.

Sad to see he didn't live to see the legalization of Polygamy, which is not far off according to
Justice Roberts dissenting legal equivalency opinion.

Hef could have sold out at height of dot.com when his playboy stock was worth $250 million.

He clearly wasn't in it for the money; he wanted to live his lifestyle as long as possible; which he did.

Fortune estimates his estate at $25 million down from $40 million 10 years ago.

He lived within his means and ensured his private chefs, movie nights $100 rent and lease payments for playmate cars were paid in full.

He had good legal, financial and medical advice. Passed in his own bed.
