Well, my car arrived today about 3pm! Damn, this thing is wide and low.
I barely fit in it. Is there an adjustment for the seat height?
My head touches the roof.
This is a great reason to lose some weight! :wink
I think my wife believes this cloud has a silver lining for her. :biggrin
I don't want to drive it to work (dont want to show off to my employees).
I have to wait for the weekend.
By the way, I just ordered an M5 today for my new DD.
Boy, today was a good day! :banana
I'll post some pics tomorrow when the sun is out! :thumbsup

Let me be the first to congratulate you :cheers

Now what color did ya git!!

Thanks!
It's White w/ Blue Stripes.
Man, those stripes are a nice blue! :biggrin

Mark,

Way to go, as others congrats!!!!! :cheers

Just saw an 05 in Detroit in your colors, real cool. :biggrin :biggrin

Have fun,

Allan

Mark,
Congrats! :cheers Hope you have many miles of safe and enjoyable driving.Let us know how the GT compares to the M5.

Congrats. Nice choice of colors.

It is amazing how wide (big) the car really is. You don't get the real impression of size unless you see one in person. It's not too big, just a hell-of-a presence.

There has been discussion of head clearance. Tall guys fit (seems many of the owners are tall). Move the seat forward (there is plenty of leg room) and angle the seat back toward the read of the car (there is an adjustment). You go into just a little more of a "lay down" position, but it is not bad - quite comfy.

Enjoy.

Enjoy.

You could get the "GTX-1" upgrade; That will cure your problem!!

Also note that the steering wheel telescopes in and out in addition to tilting.

Hell, I didn't know that :ack

You learn something new everyday...

Welcome! LOL, my wife won't let me drive mine to work either for same reason.
How tall are you? I am 6'3" and my head doesn't touch but I do recline the seat just a wee bit.

Congrats!!! :party

I'm 6'2" and have to put the seat a little closer and angle the seat back just a bit to keep my head from rubbing and I still have plenty of leg room. Nothing major and yes the telescoping wheel helps tremendously.. Have fun and be safe she's a beast!! :cheers

Thanks guys!
I did mess with the Telescoping and it helped quite a bit.
I still have to slouch a bit.
It's my hair that touches. Maybe I will just shave my head. :biggrin
Has anyone messed with the seat brackets.
I feel more in control of the car when I am sitting more upright.

BTW, I saw someone driving a heritage yesterday in town. Anyone here?

Thanks Centerpunch. I sent him an email. Hopefully that will be something I can do as well.
I will take pictures either today (if it is still light out when I get home), or tomorrow.
So the way it sounds, I am not being paranoid about bringing it to work.
I just think it may make someone jealous or something. I just hate leaving her at home. :frown

btw - I fully understand your comment about employees. I had those same reservations.

I too have the same concerns. So I take my truck to work and sometimes the Z06

My hair used to touch as well, so I cut a bald spot at the top/rear of my head and no longer have that problem. :bored

I'm tall too, but all legs, & I fit perfectly!! Sometimes it's great to be a girl. :biggrin Seriously though, hope you manage to find something comfortable. Would be a shame to have to drive something so great hunched over. :frown (Good thing there're a lot of tall men on this site to offer advice!) And congrats on the new car!!!! :banana

Thanks for the kind words but I fit fine in mine at 6'3", with about 1/2" to spare right where my hair used to be. I think it is ROCKMAN that is rubb'n his full head of locks on the roof of his brand new GT.........(I would love to have that SOB's problems)) :biggrin

oops. clicked the wrong quote... :) well, I've got more than enough of this blonde stuff to spare if you need some... hehehe

Well, got home at 7, so no sun. I guess I will have to wait till tomorrow for pics. At least I get to driver her tomorrow. :biggrin

So no helmats in the GT for anyone taller than 6' then?
