MacIntosh Sub-Woofer Relocation Components

I recently sold my '06 GT (1476 – 4 option Tungsten/Silver) to put together a deal on a Porsche 962, which is one of a few cars that I would ever give up my GT for. I was the original owner in '06 and I was part of the first group of owners that received one of Bill Knobloch’s aka “Shadowman” custom sub-woofer relocation enclosures. After I had gathered up all the components to do the relocation, I decided to leave it stock and embrace the character that the "monstrosity in the middle" brought to the GT. Since I've now sold the GT, I would like to find an owner who might have an interest in the complete relocation component package. I have everything needed, new and in the box, to do the transition including:

• “Shadowman’s” custom sub-woofer enclosure,
• A SVT factory non-mac firewall panel,
• “Shadowman’s” carbon fiber insert for the firewall panel,
• All wire-connectors required,
• Color bond (black) to refinish the enclosure wires
• A complete set of detailed instructions

I would like to see someone on the forum get these components before I offer them up on eBay. I don’t recall what these components cost, but I believe the Factory firewall panel was around $1500 by itself. I will offer the entire package for $1000 plus shipping. Please contact me if you have an interest of if you know another owner who may.

I also have some other GT-related items (NIB ’06 owners manual, NIB Portfolio book, workshop and electrical manuals, pack of 3 unwrapped ’06 sales brochures, 11x14 metal Red GT showroom photo) that I will offer here before elsewhere.

This is a great buy on this. Someone should scoop this up quickly. I would have already bought it if I didnt already have one sitting on the shelf. Will be surprised if its still available this time tomorrow....

This is a great mod. One I enjoy every time I drive the car. I really think the Mac system sound BETTER after the mod and the interior is MUCH better for it. Great deal on this kit too.

Lee - You'll be missed by the GT community. Good luck with the 962; it's a great car. See you at Shady Brook in the Spring ..... joe

A worthy replacement for the GT

I've raced this car for several years and finally had the opportunity to own it. It's hard to let the GT go, but this is a worthy replacement. I'll certainly miss the GT and the people on this board.

"Just Plain Cool"

Good god man! That is just plain cool. Congrats!

Thanks for all the great comments. I'm with Fracman about this car being cool. For me, it's always been the coolest and I couldn't be more excited about having it. I have the guys at Gunnar Racing (www.gunnarracing.com) considering how to mount a Mac Sub on the firewall in reverence to the GT :).
