Whats with the wine/champagne holder between the front seats...

They could turn around the Viper sales with that kind of power. I wonder why they didn't go with the power-crazy-flow...

Looks interesting

This is what Viper should have done with their new design rather than going retro... I totally lost interest in Viper.

I have not seen the car in person but All I can say is "been there... tried to do that " .
It takes a TON of $$money and ..... I wish them luck.

We built two cars (DevonGTX) and they both still exist.. one in Michigan and one in Florida.
We tried to buy Viper from Chrysler back in the 'Bankruptcy days'.
Honestly I am glad now that it did not work out....

Jerry, you were very involved with the VCA for many years. You made many VOIs. We had a couple of beers at one of them. I was in the Mid-South region. I still have all mine(3), and I hope you kept yours. I lost interest in the Viper at Charlotte in 2012. Came home from Charlotte disappointed and started looking for something else, and bought my Ford GT 3 months later.

When did you loose interest in the Viper?

Dolph

This too will be the fate of Tesla.

Just make sure you dump your Tesla Stock (if you have any) before it happens..

Well, there you go. How many times has it been suggested that the Gen V Viper V10 should have produced at least 750 horses from the get-go?

There's no excuse for and engine that size producing any less these days...especially when other manufactures get that kind of h.p. with far smaller engines.

I love the Viper platform, but agree they dropped the ball.

I lost interest several years back when the national was going through all of the drama. When I met DBK and learned what he was doing with the FordGTForum early on at the beginning of the Forum... I knew it was time to move on from the Viper club. Both the VCA and the new VOA are just the same ol same ol. Dave and I actually talked during the first few years on how the Viper club planned their events and where and why they selected the cities for their yearly events.

Dave knows how to plan an event. He has done a much better job to make the events fun for all... No big ego's like in the Viper club.

Ralphie... thanks for the DevonGTX picture at SEMA. You are the ''master of photographic archives''. Brings back some good memories...!

I remember seeing it there !! :biggrin

Looks like Viper Exchange is selling the car. I don't understand why/how they got out 100 more hp for this car but "held the Gen5" Viper back. With these stats the Viper would have been the king of NA HP and torque once again and might have saved the brand.

ENGINE: 8.4 L V10

POWER: 745 HP / 6100 RPM

TORQUE: 638 LB-FT. / 928 NM / 5000 RPM

TOP SPEED: 218 MPH / 350 KM/H

0-60 MPH: 3.0 SECONDS

QUARTER MILE: 10.97 SECONDS / 136.88 MPH

TRANSMISSION

Standard : 6 speed manual
Optional : 6 speed automatic with paddle shift

I still keep up with Bob L pretty regularly .He is pretty excited about the car and thought I should buy one. BTW, I asked about the champagne --he mentioned that they can also hold extinguishers.

He is the same old Bob-age has not changed him.

That Devon looks like a bonkers TVR just before they went bankrupt -all louvres and nasty attitude, I like it!
